Let’s Talk About Race

The world is still in a crazy state. It’s hard to go a day without seeing or hearing about racially charged situations/altercations. Tensions are still just as high as they were a month ago when George Floyd was murdered.

In my opinion, along with major changes that need to happen on a higher political level, conversations about race amongst ourselves are necessary. Sometimes these conversations are uncomfortable. But that too, is necessary. Often it’s only when people begin to feel uncomfortable that they realize things must change.

Over the weekend, I met up with a friend of mine and we spent quite a bit of time together speaking about race, the state of the world today, and we even shared some of our personal experiences regarding these topics.
