A few months ago I decided to re-evaluate my budget and eliminate some “unnecessary” expenses. Now if you truly know me, to hear me say that getting my nails done is unnecessary would be unheard of! Which is why I didn’t cut my manicures completely out of my budget. I simply found a cheaper alternative!
My normal gel manicure costs me between $35-$45 (depending on the prices of the salon I go to) each visit, and I would get them done about once a month. Oh, and BTDubs, that’s pre-tip! That’s $540 a year! And not to mention, gel manicures aren’t the best for hands, you know, with having to stick them under a UV lamp and all. After leaving my hands under the lamp for too long one day, my fingertips actually started to ache! NO BUENO! So I’ve sworn off going to the nail salon, and I’m kicking it old school style with press on nails!!!
Believe it or not, I’ve been building quite the collection of glamorous press on nails! So far the cost of nails in my collection range from about 8-15 bucks! That’s quite the price drop in comparison to what I usually spend at the nail salon! My latest find are these mauve/pink marble nails from TheNailest.com. My nails usually last for at least three weeks before I have to apply a new set. I’ve got to say, I’m loving the way my nails and my wallet looks since making this change!
